8.6 million people received Eid bonus from Prime Minister on their mobile phones
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has given Eid bonus to 8.6 million people of the country on their mobile phones. About 40 million people have been provided with direct humanitarian assistance during the Corona crisis so far. Due to digital development, 170 million people in the country are now using mobile SIMs.
State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak informed so while addressing a function arranged for aiding the unemployed, needy families on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr which has been distributed by the leaders of Singra Upazila Awami League, Union and Ward Awami League in his constituency at Natore.
Although the journey of Bangladesh to reach the goal of a developed modern country by 2041 has been hampered due to the corona pandemic but Sheikh Hasina's government has been able to keep the economy afloat for the past 13 months, he remarked.
The government has achieved this success because of its organizational strength.
Palak added that no movement has been successful in the last 12 years due to the huge gap between faces and masks. But we cannot suffer from self-contentment. Public hearings are being held in 12 unions of Singra to rectify the mistakes in the field of humanitarian assistance.
Singra Awami League President Sheikh Mohammad Ohidur Rahman presided over the function and the presidents and general secretaries of 12 unions and 108 wards of the region were present in the program.
